What does on-page SEO actually include?+

Everything inside a page that signals what it should rank for: title tags, meta descriptions, heading structure, body content depth and entity coverage, image optimisation and alt text, URL structure, internal links, and structured data. It excludes server-side technical work like crawl budget and rendering, and excludes off-page authority like backlinks — though all three need to work together.

How is on-page different from technical SEO?+

Technical SEO ensures a page can be crawled, rendered and indexed quickly and correctly. On-page SEO ensures that once indexed, the page is understood as the right answer to a specific query. Technical is the plumbing; on-page is the argument. A technically perfect page with unclear intent will not rank, and a well-written page that cannot be crawled will not either.

What is keyword cannibalisation and why does it matter so much?+

It is when multiple pages on your site target the same query. Engines must choose between them, signals get split, and typically none ranks as well as a single consolidated page would. It is extremely common and one of the most frequently missed causes of stalled rankings. We resolve it before any other optimisation, since strengthening two competing pages simply entrenches the conflict.

How long is the ideal page?+

There is no ideal length, and word-count targets actively cause harm. What matters is covering the subtopics and questions the query implies as completely as the best current results do, without padding. For some queries that is 400 words; for others it is 3,000. We derive the requirement from the pages currently ranking rather than applying a house rule.

Does changing my title tags risk losing rankings?+

There is short-term volatility risk, which is why we ship in controlled batches and measure per page rather than changing everything at once. Well-specified title changes usually improve both ranking and click-through. The genuine risk is unmeasured bulk edits — if you change 500 titles simultaneously with no baseline, you cannot tell what helped and what hurt.

How quickly does on-page work show results?+

Faster than most SEO work, because nothing depends on third parties. Once changes are re-crawled — usually days to a few weeks depending on your crawl frequency — ranking and CTR movement becomes visible. Depth and internal linking gains compound over two to three months as the cluster architecture takes hold.

Can you work on-page without touching our codebase?+

Usually yes. Most on-page work happens in your CMS, and we can deliver specifications your team implements, implement directly if given access, or work through a tag-management layer where necessary.
