Yes, when it is built for one intent and structured into self-contained sections. Passage ranking means engines score sections semi-independently, so a well-built long page can hold rankings for dozens of related queries. What does not work is a short conversion-only page or a one-pager trying to serve several audiences simultaneously.

How long should a single page be?+

Long enough to cover the query cluster completely and no longer. In practice that usually means substantially longer than a conventional landing page, because you are compressing what a topic cluster would normally spread across several pages. We derive the requirement from the query map rather than applying a word target.

Is a one-page website a bad idea for SEO?+

It is a constraint rather than a mistake. One-page sites work well when the business has a single offering and a clearly defined audience. They become limiting when you need to rank for genuinely distinct intents, since one URL can only commit to one primary intent — at that point additional pages are the right answer, and we will say so.

How do you rank one page for many keywords?+
